Shorter than the original this version (as well as (with Strings)) is still just as touching. And maybe it’s just the title but this version seems much sadder than the original as well. Or maybe it’s just me.

I think I’ve heard this before somewhere. There’s been a shorter version with strings floating about the Interwebs for awhile.

I just bought my first Explosions in the Sky album. Lots of my friends have recommended them, and when I listened to one of their songs on Tumblr this evening, the conditions were right: I was tired enough to make the $5 impulse buy from Amazon’s MP3 store.

$5 Well spent.

Explosions in the Sky - Your Hand In Mine (w/Strings)

So this summer I got to see Explosions in the Sky live thanks to my internship. There was a 3-song rule for the pit which was funny cause that gave me MORE than enough time to take the pictures plus the staff didn’t really know when three songs had ended…yeah. So when they finally kicked us out the band was starting this song. I almost burst into tears while trying to push my way to the top of the bleachers in the rain. My life is a series of bad cliches.
