The next edition of the Oxford English Dictionary will never be printed due to internet’s impact on book sales. This, after 21 years of work by a team of 80 lexicographers.

My dreams of my parents purchasing the single-volume edition of the OED as a gift when I finish my M.A.T. are officially crushed.

Hot. I’d query it.

I had my first real introduction to the unabridged OED in class today.

And then Rebecca and I used it as our dictionary for Boggle. Halfway through, we started making up words, and more often than not, they were in the OED. Never has Boggle been so educational.
