I want out of here. I can’t wait to see Rebecca on Saturday. I can’t wait to see everyone else on Saturday.

I had a group presentation today on Motivation and Regulation of the Internal States in my Brain and Behavior class. I presented a section on Obesity, and it was only 12 minutes long instead of the requested 15. That said, I presented my information clearly, and used stupid PowerPoint without making it tacky, so I hope that counts for something. I have another group project in a couple weeks where I only have to speak for 3 minutes. My research is already done; I just need to crap out an outline and I’ll be golden.

School is going really well, if a little boring. The current breakdown for grades is:

Brain and Behavior: B
Public Speaking: B
Music Recording Tech: A
Safety and Sanitation: A
Teaching and Field Experience: A

There’s only four more (three more?) weeks in the semester, so I guess I’m pretty solid. I haven’t missed a single class so far this semester, which is a.) a first and b.) it means that I rule and a little c.) I have nothing better to do.

I’m traveling up to Warrensburg again for Rebecca’s graduation ceremony. I’m don’t know how much it’ll mean from me, since I’m not a parent/sibling/haven’t known her but for the last 19 months, but I’m really proud of her.

I finally heard back from the school that I’m observing at for my middle school rotation. I’ve left voice messages and tried to call multiple times, and now with two days remaining in the rotation I’ve finally been able to contact their coordinator, so if all goes well I can get my required hours in by observing for the whole day on Thursday and Friday. I would have really liked to space that out a bit more. When I’m observing for full days, the last hour or two of my observation log reads like, “Some kid got up to use the restroom without permission. I want out of here so bad. Teacher is effectively presenting material. I’m falling asleep.”

I fully intend to watch Lost before I go to sleep tonight. I’m tentatively planning on making it into Warrensburg around 1:30 on Saturday, and staying until late afternoon on Sunday or Sunday evening.
