I was reading a news article today on the BBC’s website, talking about the current use of executive orders in this administration, including some that may be repealed by Obama when he takes office.
One subject of special note to me is Obama’s no-holds-barred approach to stem cell research. I have nothing against the principle of stem cell research, and I think that there are some interesting advances being made in the field.
However, I personally oppose embryonic stem cell research because a.) I’m uncomfortable with using the cells from unsuccessful fetuses and b.) there have been lots of advances in adult stem cell research, while there have been no real advances in embryonic stem cell research. I don’t know. Thoughts? Opinions?
