Larrikin Music had claimed the flute riff from was stolen from Kookaburra Sits in the Old Gum Tree, written by Marion Sinclair in 1934
I love it. Could they have stolen a melody from a more Australian song for their own Australian song? It’s like writing a song called “I Love London, You Guys!” and then stealing the melody from that “London Bridge” song. And then getting sued for it.
