pedrosanchez:

I get home, all excited for bed, look lovingly at my pillows, undress, imagine the feeling of the sheets on my bare ass….and realize I’ve left something important in my car. This happens often. And it’s sad.

I read some negative reviews of the film “Ponyo” tonight just to see what people had to say. And it was as suspected. The dissatisfied consisted of anal rententive parents (the type who prefer Cookie Monster eating vegetables) and those accustomed to the animated children’s films America has been defecating out to the public for the past decade or so. And ohhhhhkay, it’s no Sprited Away, blah blah blah, we understand Ponyo is just not deep enough for you. It depressed me to read the negative reviews, even though they were the minority.

Of all the movies I’ve seen in theaters so far this year, Ponyo has been my favorite. I really hate to imagine the kind of person who isn’t warmed to death by it.

Rebecca and I saw it, and we really liked it! I enjoyed it more than “Howl’s Moving Castle”, because I felt like I got it more. I haven’t seen “Spirited Away” yet, though.
