Patrick's Tumblog

Classes start tomorrow with a whimper, rather than a bang. I only have one, from 11:00 to 12:15. Let’s do this thing, “Foundations of Education.”

I decided to actually update my Google Calendar with all of my classes, their times and their locations on campus, so I can print out my schedule on a weekly basis, and have something to jot down my appointments on. Not that I have appointments. It’s just that I can jot one down if I have need.

Basically, I’ve made it so that GCal notifies me via SMS 30 mintues before the start of my first class with the name of the class, the length of the class and the location of the class on campus. It then notifies me of any additional classes on that day 10 minutes before they begin. I also set up GCal so that it duplicates itself to my iCal using WebDAV.

Goal for this semester? Semi-organization. Notecards worked alright last semester, but this seems even better, and more sophisticated to boot.
