I think Eric and I really like Chicago so far. There’s so many different kind of people and so many things to see and do. We’ve had some crazy experiences so far. Some guy in a Saint Louis train station bathroom handed Eric a brick of hash.

We’ve randomly been asked if we’re Jewish. I like riding the trains. I like hearing all these different languages that people speak. The art institute was fucking orgasmic. Ugghhhh they had Monet’s haystacks and Lautrec and Miro and uhhhuhhhhh. There were so many artists I hadn’t heard of that I wrote down so I can look up later. We looked through the new modern art wing, which I think is cool but sort of irritating to navigate. You have to go through all these different rooms with doors. A lot of shitty art, too. Hehe.

Tonight we ate at a Mexican restaurant in Wicker Park that had fantastic guacamole and ambience. We explored the city and bought some cereal bars for tomorrow. I was not expecting to be so pleased with the city itself…I really, really like it.

Chicago is my favorite city to visit. There’s tons of stuff to do, great food, exciting grocery stores that we don’t have here, lots of music and the Threadless store. There’s also an 826 there, which is sort of awesome and would make for a dream internship.
