Patrick's Tumblog

Someone should buy me a hardcover collection of e. e. cummings poetry. I deserve it.

I’ve seen basically the whole Warrensburg crew in the past 24 hours, and that’s been nice. It’s good to see everyone.

I’ve gotten to spend a lot of time with Rebecca, which has been great. Every time we’re together again after not seeing each other for a couple weeks, I find myself constantly reminded of the things I’ve missed. Some of those things are small—the way she catches my eye and smiles at me when I’m uncomfortable, the way she plays with that little spot on my wrist when we’re holding hands, how she always moves like a dancer, the way she hums quietly to get my attention when she wants me to hold her hand. Some of these things are big—talking face to face is so much better than the stupid Internet. Going out on hikes with her and getting semi-lost on the trails at night. Driving around holding hands and listening to music with the windows down of an evening. I can’t wait for her to be back in St. Louis.

I picked up Andrew Bird’s “Armchair Apocrypha” album in mp3 format today on Amazon for $1.99. I wish they’d have Weather Systems on sale like that soon—my favorite Andrew Bird album by far.
