Sister: So I've been hearing back from some of these CareerBuilder places that want to interview me...
Me: Awesome! What are they?
Sister: Well, this one sounded really cool, but I'm not sure. It says they want someone who has a great sense of humor, people always tell you they like you, and you work harder than everybody else.
me: well, 2 out of 3 ain't bad...
Sis: Yeah, ha...So yeah, you make 1k a week plus commission and benefits.
me: Sweet! Wait, commission? It's a sales job?
Sis: Well, they deposit a ton of money into your account, and then you just move it around to these other accounts...I dunno, it seems pretty easy. There's a long description, I'll email it to you.

I put a fresh jumbo roll of toilet paper out yesterday morning in our least-used bathroom.
This morning, it’s gone. All that’s left is… the rind? The empty roll.
HOW ARE YOU USING SO MUCH TOILET PAPER, FAMILY? THIS IS UNNATURAL.
Potential joke: I have a crappy family.

I made chinese dumplings for dinner tonight, and peanut butter blossoms for dessert. The only thing missing? Everyone from Warrensburg.

I missed Rebecca a lot after a day, and now it’s been a week. I’m really hoping that getting to see her over Easter works out.
I picked out my observation schools today for my Teaching Profession/Field Experience course.
I’ll be observing (and teaching a Junior Achievement program for third graders, apparently) at Ames VPA School. For my middle school observation, I’ll be at Litzsinger School, part of the Special School District. For my high school observation, I’m actually trying to get in to observe...

Oh, 30 Rock.
Tracy Jordan: What is this, horseville? Because I'm surrounded by naysayers. Wordplay!
Liz Lemon: That is solid.
Tracy Jordan: Look, when I was a kid growing up in the projects, I would look up at the stars and dream of going into space. Of escaping the slums. Of killing an Ewok! Now the man that that kid has become can make those dreams come true. Do you know what that's like?
Jack Donaghy: I do, Tracy.
Tracy Jordan: Then you know why I have to do this. As Robert Browning once wrote, "Ah, but a man's reach should exceed his grasp! Or what is a heaven for?" I was prepared for the possibility of this meeting.
How long does it take to fall in love? →
livejamie:
The time needed for a man to fall in love at first sight is 8.2 seconds, scientists claim.
This seems accurate. It was pretty immediate for me, the first time I saw Rebecca at the CCH during welcome week in 2006.
When asked to name the one person absent from her life that she missed the most,...

This.
My Blackboard account doesn’t work, so I can’t check to make sure I have nothing due tonight. Awesome.

I just finished watching this week’s “Lost.”
HOLY COW.
I know, right?
Now Patrick can understand why I called him so excited.
Yeah, I had to catch up on last week’s Lost also, so I just torrented them both. That, and last week’s/this week’s Scrubs.
I’m super stoked about Lost though. Next week should be intense.

I saw this musical at the Muny last summer. Good times.
jdlayman:
Great episodes of Scrubs and LOST tonight. Well played, ABC.
Catching up on them now. The DVR is honestly God’s third most awesome gift to mankind.

I’m debating whether or not I should start watching the Stargate SG-1 series on Hulu. Season 1 is up now, with the rest to come.
The “Here Kitty” episode of House is funny, because the featured patient is the same actress who played Kitty in Arrested Development.
