Rebecca, Wes and I watched “Thoroughly Modern Millie” tonight. I don’t think I’ve ever enjoyed a G-rated movie so much. I also bought “Pan’s Labyrinth” (or, I should say, “El Laberinto del fauno”) at Family Video for $7. A worthy investment, if I may say so.

http://marriage.about.com/cs/holidays/a/leapyear.htm So apparently, leap day is the day that women traditionally propose to men. Cool, huh?
So at work last night, I experimented and made myself a sort of gyro with our ginger chicken. I sliced open a couple wheat pita, toasted them with some mozzarella cheese, grilled up some ginger chicken and put a little italian dressing in there, and some more for dipping. It was really tasty.
thegetupkid311: I guess God phoned down to his weather department, and was like, "listen, this only comes around every four years. Don't screw it up, guys."
thegetupkid311: Then again, if weather were a huge deal to God, I'm pretty sure He'd have fired whoever is in charge of Missouri.
It’s beautiful outside today. Clear, sunny skies and almost 60 degrees. Looks like God totally hooked us up on leap day. Speaking of which, have you leapt yet today? If not, you really only have ten more hours to fit one in. The Punch Brothers album came out this week. For those unfamiliar, that’s Chris Thile’s “How to Grow a Band,” just with a different name....
Beauty’s just another word I’m never certain how to spell.

My Tigergotchi died this morning after almost 26 days. I could start him over, but I’m too emotionally devastated to just replace Mr. Stripes like that.
It’s not as warm as it’s supposed to be. Brrr. I work tonight, and it’s going to be seriously busy, because it’s ginger chicken night and everyone loves ginger chicken night. This means that I’m going to need to eat before I go in, because I sure won’t have time to make myself anything. I’m hungry right now, actually. Hmm.
It seems like everyone’s dying of cancer now. It’s like it’s...
– Crystal from Java Junction, in response to a customer who told her someone died of cancer.
Work was super busy tonight. An upside? I got paid extra for it. I felt lame that a bunch of my friends came in, but I couldn’t come out and hang for a little bit, like I would have been able to had we not been so swamped. I like that Andy is a pretty understanding manager, because it really helps keep the stress level down. This week is going to get progressively warmer! ¡Felicidades! I...
Less than two hours of sleep. Awesome.
It’s like 55 right now. It’s mega-gloomy though. Just took Rebecca to class, then went back to Java Junction. I need a haircut for real.
Am I really going to bed at 10:45? Yes I am. It’s supposed to hit 50 tomorrow, then snow again the next day.

Chris pointed me toward the beautiful photography of Rebekka Guðleifsdóttir today. A photography student in Iceland, Guðleifsdóttir has the good fortune of having one of the most captivating natural landscapes in the world at her disposal.
Missouri weather is illogical, and needs to make up its gosh dang mind. Today’s sermon was about how to approach depression. Pretty cool, really. Rebecca and I ate P-Sub for lunch, and she’s off to work on her crazy insane art stuff. I might nap a little bit. Just a little bit.
I worked. I made money. It’s all good.
Teehaus today. I work from 11:45 to 3:00. Be there or be square.
I start work at the Teehaus tomorrow, from 11:45 to 3:00—Andy’s closing things early, because he has some stuff to do. Feel free to come visit!
Today is an English departmental meeting, so no class today either. Four day weekend!
Delayed opening? Make that total cancellation.
Delayed opening due to ice today. I’ll take it.
Wednesday night was great. Went to La Sous Terre. Aubrey sang some, and we listened to the jazz guitarist guy for awhile. He’s really good! Then Rebecca, Aubrey and I went out to watch the lunar eclipse. I tried to take some pictures, but struck out pretty hard. It was really awesome, though. It was a little awkward when the police officer came up to our car and said that someone had called...
Eclipse Day!
Rebecca and I have been together for five months as of today. We went and ate Taco Tuesday, and it was delicious. Hopefully she’ll be my lunar eclipse buddy tomorrow. I got some good picture time in today, too. Be praying for Ryan Shaw’s family—his dad had a heart attack today.
Ecology this morning was mind-numbing. And hilarious, thanks to the comedic genius of Aubrey and myself. Java Junctionnnnnn. I’m on a pretty solid anti-war kick this week. TOTAL LUNAR ECLIPSE TOMORROW.
Rebecca and I had a wonderful conversation tonight, and I learned a lot. I think all is well.
I’m hungry now. This is an example of a post where I would like to be able to not allow commenting.
So until Tumblr gets their own commenting system up and running, I’m going to try this Disqus commenting system. We’ll see how it goes.
